Ophos was an interactive sound art installation designed for Devotion Gallery in Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY. Thematically, it represented a “sonic organism” in the Pacific Trash Vortex that self-assembled from plastic garbage.
As a work of Sound Art, it was a kind of “distributed patch bay” where viewers could plug and unplug 1/4” cables from different jacks on the glowing orbs to change and control a continuous drone being emitted by the work.
