Lightcloud is a commercial-industrial wireless lighting control system that I co-invented with the CEO of RAB Lighting.
I developed and demonstrated the initial prototype of the system, which extensively uses ZigBee radios to form resilient mesh networks. This prototype used custom electronics I designed along with the radios and microcontrollers as well as a gateway device using software I developed in Python.

Moving forward I contributed to the architecture of the Lightcloud system and design of the web and mobile apps.
I have also been named as an inventor on the following patents pertaining to this system:
- US20230379185A1: Wireless lighting control system with independent site operation
- US11722332B2: Wireless lighting controller with abnormal event detection
- US20200092974A1: Scheduled Automation Associations for a Lighting Control System
- US10219356B2: Automated commissioning for lighting control systems
- US20190116652A1: Power loss detection for a lighting control system (Pending)
- US10085328B2: Wireless lighting control systems and methods
- US9883567B2: Device indication and commissioning for a lighting control system
- USD791720S1: Wireless lighting control system device
